Silicon Valley Bootstrappers
There’s no doubt that Silicon Valley is THE place for entrepreneurs. Unofficial statistics show that 1 in 4 people working in the valley have dreamed about or have started a company of their own at some point in their life. Some startups choose to grow with external funding, like angel investors or VCs, and some choose to self-fund, often called bootstrapping.
Verne Harnish stated in his book “Scaling Up” that only 0.4% of all companies grew past $10 Million in revenue. In this series of interviews, I’m talking to local bootstrappers who not only have “made it,” but have pushed their businesses into that top 0.4%. My hope is that their experiences can inspire other bootstrappers out there to make a difference in this valley.
